It could definitely use a striking background to accent it (look up places like sunset at Sedona, Arizona), but the central piece is pretty well perfect.
The highlights in the hair help contrast the darker stands and meld well with the face
Portions are excellent and anatomy is well studied. Lighting on the face is also perfect and highlights the eyes and features of the face.
Overall, I really enjoy this picture, and I think you have a substantial amount of talent!
